Looking for a nice vintage stainless steel tool watch which sits perfectly on a somewhat smaller wrist? This skin-diver might be it! eBay is full of partially (or fully) fake Seamaster 120's, but this 166.027 is the real deal. An honest vintage piece with matching bracelet. Still, it's perfectly wearable for every day use and quite recently serviced (late 2022).

Please find an assessment of the watch below. I have attempted to be as brutally honest as can be. Also note that I am certainly not the first owner of this watch. Hence I cannot guarantee originality of parts, although after having handled dozens quite a few of these, this one comes across as being unmolested. Only exception might be the crown, which I think is a little flatter than the originals.

Dial: The original dial with all lume plots perfectly in tact. The lume has aged to a very attractive, eggshell shade and has lost most of its luminous qualities as one would expect of a ±60 yrs old piece. Dial body colour is homogeneously anthracite. The printing is perfectly okay too.

Hands: Original. Lume still present, although of course entirely dead. The running seconds hand is still crispy white.

Case: Nice fat case with sharp edges. It looks unmolested but certainly shows signs of wear. Of course it has its hairline scratches but overall in very good condition. Caseback is in perfect order with the writing in very sharp condition.

Bezel: Original bezel in nicely faded condition. No major damage and barely any missing paint, certainly no chips of black paint lost here. It also still carries its pip, which might have been glued back in at some stage as there are some traces of glue around it. Other than two tiny dents (at 22 and 58), it does not show any major signs of wear (bar the overall fade, of course).

Movement and Serial: A trusty 565 automatically wound movement with a serial in the 2722xxxx range. Even though I am personally not much of a fan for watches with a date, the quickset of this one makes it easy enough to adjust. The movement has been serviced in august 2022 and a proof of service is coming with the watch. No major parts have been replaced at service, except for the main spring.

Needless to say, it runs and winds smoothly with all functions working properly.

Bracelet: A vintage 1069 with 524 end links in reasonable condition. It currently fits a 16,5cm to 17,0cm wrist circumference as it is. I am afraid I do not have any more links to it.

Package: Watch and bracelet only. Well, plus the service invoice that is.

Shipped worldwide at buyers expense, although I would strongly prefer a F2F deal in the Netherlands given the value of this piece and the added benefit of meeting a fellow OF-member in person.

No returns, please ask questions and extra pictures in advance. I am not making a habit out of selling, but I do have quite some - exclusively positive - references as a seller and buyer on this forum and could share more.
