For sale: Vintage Seamaster 300 Ref. 166.024 from about 1968. This watch bears a striking resemblence to the Ref. 166.0324 "Watchco" Seamaster, but has a better pedigree. While the 166.0324 Watchco seamasters were built with service parts, this is notably an original 1968 Seamaster that has been restored with factory luminova parts. This piece was serviced recently by Kelly Hunter at Art of the Watch. He serviced the movement and replaced the mainspring, crystal, crown, tube, stem, upper barrel bushing, reverser, intermediate winding wheels and ratchet drive wheel. The case was refinished and polished by Kelly on the flanks where straight graining is supposed to be. The watch is running extremely well and an Omega travel box is included. Like any vintage model, this watch should not be considered water proof and should not be used to scuba dive. It has some minor stretch (these always do seemingly by design) but is still solid and in good shape. Seems to have all the original links. Watches like this don't come along every day.
