[WTS] Seiko 1/100sec 'Olympic' Sports 150 Chronograph 7T59-6A00 (Feb 1993).
**Model:** Seiko “1/100 sec chronograph” 7T59-7A00 **Year:** February 1993 **Timestamp:** Will to provide any custom timestamp and/or video (call) upon request. Video with timestamp and showing the watch functions is currently uploading to my Reddit profile and should be available to watch there now or in a few minutes. **The Movement.** The world's first ever 1/100th of a second Quartz Chronograph movement. Developed by Seiko for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, the 7T59 movement brought an extra level of precision with its 1/100th-of-a-second chronograph functionality. **The History.**Seiko was the official timekeeper at the Barcelona Olympics in 1992 and ran an advertising campaign to showcase the 1/100th second chronograph technology alongside the need for accuracy of Olympic events and Seiko Japan said that they manufactured the 7T59 to prove to the world it could be done. The 7T59 calibre lived a short, but glorious, life from 1991 to 1993 and is still, in the analog watch world, one of the most complicated movement manufactured for the consumer grade segment and was expensive to make. The watch was only produced for a few years But let's not forget that the 7T59 is, to this day, the only analog 1/100th second chronograph offering day + date + GMT functions **The Chronograph.** The 1/100th-of-a-second sweep is too fast for the eye to follow, the red hand makes 10 full rotations every second, creating a visual blur. **The Bracelet.** The original bracelet and buckle. In currently good condition with minimal scratching for its age. # Details: **Condition:** In great condition. Given the age and condition. The watch has user marks (scratches from normal use, no large marks, cracks or dents) on the case/bezel and bracelet. All functions including the glorious 1/100sec chrono are working. Please see my Reddit profile as a video of the watch is currently uploading. How to use these whopping 9 arms and 5 crowns/pushers? All you have to remember is: -Start / stop the chrono with the pusher at 2 -Reset stopped hands with the pusher at 10 -Set Day/Date with crown at 3 (first step out) -Set hours, minutes and seconds of away time with crown at 3 (second step out) -Set hours of here time with crown at 4 (first step out) Other combinations of crowns and buttons are used to reset the zero position of the chrono hands. There's a split seconds feature too but I can never recall how it works **Scope:** No box or papers, but will be shipped in a watch box. **Movement:** 7T59 first 1/100th of a second Quartz Chronograph movement with day+date+gmt **Case Dimensions and WR**: 40.9mm x 10.3mm case with 15 Bar water resistance **Price:** Offered at **$445** This includes worldwide shipping with T & T, signature and insurance (USPS for USA). I accept PayPal F&F / G&S / Wise), depending on your buying/selling history in the subreddit. Transaction fees paid by the buyer. Trades: I collect gold (plated) vintage automatic day-date homages (Orient president/Bulova SS etc etc), and also have and like some Mr. Jones/Xeric watches.
