I love these handwound Rolex references, SO MUCH VALUE and it’s Rolex going back to the basics with a classic clean design. These 6427s don’t come around as often, you get that sweet now discontinued engine turned bezel and this particular one has some cool hour markers and it’s complete with its original riveted Rolex bracelet! REFERENCE: 6427 DATE: 1968 DIAL: That silver sunburst POPS! This one brings a little extra sauce with a cool cross hatch design seen up close on the larger 3,6, and 9 markers. Nicely aged tritium lume plots and Rolex service hands. Has a tiny bit of wear seen under a loupe and some aging to the seconds hand but all in hard to find cleaner! CASE: Clean previously polished 34mm case (actually measures 34.5 on calipers, and wears like a 35 or so with the oyster case) in good condition with fairly think lugs and nice brushing. Wear throughout, as to be expected, mostly seen on the case sides, but presents very well. CRYSTAL: Plexi crystal is in good shape with wear that can be seen at certain angles, but shows off that beautiful dial perfectly. MOVEMENT: Hand wound Rolex movement was just fully regulated by my watchmaker. Winds and sets smoothly and keeps great time. BRACELET: Comes on its original riveted Rolex oyster bracelet! This one has some wear throughout of course, but very minimal stretch and tight clasp with matching 1968 date code - very cool to see.
