The dial is the best feature of the watch. It boasts a strongly three-dimensional appearance, thanks to the combination of the recessed dial, fluted dial ring and sunken moon-phase window giving the dial a greater sense of depth. Up close, it is apparent that the dial is very well done. The outermost part of the dial is finished with a fine, granular texture that provides some visual interest that complements the gold polished elements across the watch. The calibre 6347 was equipped in multiple reference with the 6347-5000 being the only reference to be sold in Japan. **Model**: Seiko 6347-5000 **Year**: October 1986 **Features**: * *Automatic Moonphase*. Still, to this day, the only purely automatic moonphase Seiko has ever made which is incredibly hard to believe. Seiko prefers to opt for quartz movement or kinetic movement moonphases. * *The Moonphase*. Proud and large – sitting at the 12 o’clock position and taking up a good percentage of the dial. As I mentioned earlier, its set deeply into the watch face which gives the watch a fantastic layered look. * *Movement*. Seiko 6347 Automatic. 47 hour power reserve, 23 jewels, 21600 bph. * *The Strap*. While this is a vintage Seiko strap, I don’t believe it to be the original bracelet. It’s a great solid fit, and it looks very similar to other “original” bracelets I’ve seen people use on this watch, but to be completed honest, I haven’t ever managed to track down an original Seiko Advert for this watch, so I’m not sure what the original strap is! * *Condition*: I replaced the crystal with a flawless dead stock original 6347-5000 crystal, and the dial has no visible imperfections. There is minor wear on the case, case back and bracelet, but nothing out of the ordinary. **Scope**: No box or papers, but it comes in an attractive and secure leather travel case carrying my Provenance Watches logo **Case Width**: 34mm **Lug to lug:** 39.2mm **Strap length:** 175mm, metal Seiko bracelet **Case Thickness**: 11mm (with the steering wheel) **Price**: Offered at **$545** plus shipping (sent from London, UK; costs $5-$30 depending on where you are in the world).
