THE ONE AND ONLY! The JLC Reverso is one of those rare, iconic watches that looks as great today as it did back in 1931! We all know the story… the original Reverso was made to help polo players protect their watches during a polo game. The idea of a swivelling case the effectively hid the glass behind a layer of steel was revolutionary at the time, and even today it’s an engineering marvel. This particular example is a manual-wind, Duoface model which allows you to track 2 different timezones, or the same timezone on both sides, while being able to easily change styles from the white, classic look, to the darker, evening look instantly! I am the original owner and purchased it brand new in June 2021. I’m thinning out my collection and while this is a hard one to part with, I’ve found I just don’t wear it enough to justify keeping it. I’m also including the original black, JLC alligator strap the watch originally came on. JLC straps can go anywhere from $200-$500 on their own.This is the medium size at 42.9 x 25.5 mm, perfect for almost all wrist sizes without being too large for smaller wrists. SERIAL NUMBER: 354XXXX DATE: June 2021 (Per the card) CONDITION: I’m always reluctant to say 10/10, because I have worn it a few times so I’m sure there’s a hairline or two, so let’s say 9.9/10 as it’s in virtually brand new condition. Please refer to the pictures for full condition details. MOVEMENT: I am the original owner and purchased in June 2021, so there’s virtually no wear on the movement. I didn’t wear this one a lot, though I do wind it up every month or so just to keep the movement moving and the oils fresh. It runs perfectly and keeps time as good as day I bought it. There’s a switch on the top of the case that allows you to jump the hour of the black dial to the timezone of your choosing. STRAP: This watch originally came with a black, factory JLC alligator strap with a stainless steel JLC deployant buckle. There’s another reference number of this watch that comes on the light brown, calf-skin strap seen in the pictures. While it came on the black strap, I picked up the brown strap at a JLC boutique in Paris last year. BOTH straps will be included in the sale. Since the extra strap didn’t come with its own buckle, you will only receive 1 buckle. Though it can be easily switched to the black strap, if you prefer. Both straps have a little bit of wear, but seeing as it has a deployant buckle, it’s not too bad as you don’t have to constantly bend an crimp the straps to put if on or take it off. I believe it’s an 18mm lug width. ACCESSORIES: Watch, box, warranty card dated June 2021, all other booklets that came in the box originally, and a spare black, JLC alligator strap (Lightly used) WARRANTY: This watch was registered with JLC in June 2021 and included an 8 year warranty through the Richmont Group.
