The Halios Universa is a watch that needs little introduction around here. Halios has talked about coming out with the next version of the Universa… and they’ve talked… and we wait, who knows if/when it’s going to happen. YEAR: Late 2021 DIAL: Hard to fully capture the beauty of this dial in photos with that domed sapphire crystal, but the bathyal blue is just awesome! Goes from dark blue/almost black to a rich medium blue, then you get that pops of baby blue on the seconds hand and those cool numerals - I think they knocked it out of the park! CASE: At 38MM, with those nice angled lugs, it fits beautifully! There’s just so much design to love here. Scratches and wear throughout, most notable on the bezel and the case sides, still presents beautifully! MOVEMENT: The hand wound Sellita movement is fantastic, as you would expect for a basically new watch, it’s winding smoothly, setting perfectly, and keeping great time - timegrapher has it an an incredible 2 seconds a day with an amplitude of 293! BRACELET: I don’t know if any micro brands is doing a better bracelet at this price point! Again the design is incredible and then you get the much talked about, much loved (for good reason) quick micro adjust system built into the clasp. It’s fantastic! Currently sized to app 7 inches, comes with all of the original extra links. Again, scratches throughout, mostly seen on the clasp and a few links, but also presents beautifully.
