Hello WatchEx! Up for sale is my Seiko Grand Quartz 9943-8020 from 1978 in very good vintage condition. This watch is a perfect example of affordable Tanaka brilliance. The SHARP case lines show no signs of ever having been polished, and the shoulders of the lugs taper down for an extremely thin wrist presence.  When this watch was introduced in the 1978 Seiko catalog, it represented another big leap forward in terms of timekeeping accuracy, improving on the benchmark Seiko had previously set with its 3883 and 4883 movements to +/- 10s/YEAR. This level of accuracy is comparable to even modern high accuracy quartz movements.  The black dial shimmers in the sunlight, ranging from a deep black, to a dark metallic gray, complimented perfectly by the black alligator strap this watch comes on.  CONDITION DETAILS: This rare black dial [9943](tel:9943) example comes fully serviced (disassemble, clean, lubrication) and is ready to level up any wrist it sits on for years to come. The case has a few light scratches on the polished shoulders, and there are a couple very light scratches on the crystal near the 2 o’clock marker. I’ve tried to photograph them in a way where they show up, for transparency. The watch overall is in 8/10 condition, but is otherwise unpolished and in original condition. The case lines are razor sharp.   I’d be open to entertaining trades.
