Hi everyone, for sale today is a nice Girard Perregaux 1945.

1. General introduction
A stainless steel Girard Perregaux 1945, ivory rectangular dial, curved case, date, small second, original bracelet, handmade leather strap, serviced, shipping fee with insurance in EU/US included.

Brand: Girard Perregaux; Model: 1945; Reference: 25932.

2. Detail

Dial: Original ivory rectangular dial with applied arabic hour markers; date-aperture frame at 1; small second at 9; dauphine hands; prints, hands and hour markers are all good. The dial has signs of moisture, mostly at 4 corners as shown in photos.
Case: The diameter is 28x44mm without the crown. The case is curved and fits nicely on the wrist. Original case is in very good condition. Original GP crown. The case back has saphire glass; the reference 25932 and A No.2826 can be seen there.
Movement: GP in-house caliber 3200 in very good condition. The watch is running, all functions work as they should. Dated around 2010. Last service in July 2025.
Glass: Original glass in good condition.
Bracelet: Original GP bracelet with double fold clasp.
Accessory: A new handmade brown leather strap with generic buckle. IMO the watch look better with a leather strap.
Overall, this is a very good example of the reference.

3. Payment and shipping

Priced: 1130euro for the watch + 200euro for service + 70euro for shipping (insuranced, EU/US) = 1400 Euro NET to me 😜. If buyer handles shipping, then the price would be 1380euro.

In 1791, watchmaker and goldsmith Jean-François Bautte signed his first watches. He created a manufacturing company in Geneva grouping, for the first time ever, all the watch making facets of that time, which meant starting from the engineering of the watch all the way to the final hand assembly and hand polishing of each watch. In 1852, the watchmaker Constant Girard founded the Girard & Cie Firm in La Chaux-de-Fonds. He, then, married Marie Perregaux and the Girard-Perregaux Manufacture was born in 1856. In 1906, Constant Girard-Gallet, who took over control of the Manufacture from his father, took over the Bautte House and merged it with Girard-Perregaux & Cie. Since then, the brand has pursued its activities by reinforcing from the 1980s its position in the domain of prestigious mechanical watches, Haute Horlogerie, under the lead of Luigi Macaluso. In 2011, Sowind Group, the holding incorporating Girard-Perregaux, became a subsidiary of Kering.

Constant Girard produced the first ever major commercial production of a wristwatch, made for German naval officers and ordered by German Kaiser Wilhelm I. The Manufacture has approximately 80 patents in the watch-making domain and is the originator of many innovative concepts.
