What sets this one apart is that the original white resin case and strap have been swapped with those from a GW5000U. The GW5000U resin strap is widely considered by enthusiasts to be the best resin strap Casio makes. It hits a perfect blend of durability, suppleness, and versatility that simply feels better on wrist compared to most standard G-Shock bands. Because of that swap, this watch wears incredibly comfortably. What really sets the GW5000 line apart from standard squares like the GWM5610U is the build quality and design heritage. You get the classic 5000-series case that stays true to the original 1983 DW-5000C, paired with a screw-down stainless steel caseback and noticeably more solid fit and finish. It still has all the essentials people love like Tough Solar and Multi-Band 6 atomic timekeeping, but wrapped in a more refined, durable package that many enthusiasts consider the ultimate evolution of the square G-Shock. This example is in great overall condition, especially considering it’s a resin G-Shock.
