For sale is my Seiko 55th anniversary limited edition of 1100 SLA037.This diver is a celebration and recreation of Seiko's first dive watch release in 1965, the 62mas. This vintage inspired Seiko is a collector's dream in my opinion. It is assembled in the Shizukuishi Watch Studio next to Grand Seiko models. This means that this is a Grand Seiko quality watch. It features a high beat 8L55 movement that I've seen regulated to within +/- 1s per day. This particular one is running about +4 but can be easily regulated to be even more accurate. It features a 55 hour power reserve. The clean sweep of the high beat movement is as close to a Spring Drive you can get in a fully mechanical watch. It also features a deep blue/grey dial with a subtle sheen and sunburst that captures light amazingly well. The domed sapphire crystal creates amazing distortion at the edges and really adds to the vintage feel. The 39.9mm case is super wearable even for smaller wrists (I have 6" wrists for example) and is created from "ever-brilliant" steel which makes it more corrosive resistant than other stainless steels and also appears brighter and whiter than typical stainless steel. The tops of the case are brushed while the sides, back and inner rehaut of the case are zaratsu polished. And of course the lume on this is incredibly bright and long lasting. The watch comes with full kit, box and papers. It comes with the OEM navy blue rubber strap as well as an extra black rubber tropic strap. Case, bezel, crystal are free of visible scratches or marks. Any marks seen in photos are dust I couldn't get off... The only visible mark is on the Seiko signed keeper which is pictured.
