Hello all. Up for sale is a beautiful Rolex Oyster Perpetual 1002 dating back to 1976. This is a watch that needs little in terms of introduction. Measuring at 34mm across, it easily sits on the wrist and almost "disappears" at times due to its comfortable fit. That all, however, changes the moment you look at it. Unlike the vast majority of other OPs that are available on the market, this one has a striking blue dial that has retained its original pop and luster. For those that do not know, Rolex had a hard time with blue dials where over time these dials would deteriorate quite badly. This is why it is quite rate to find one in as good condition as this one. Although the hands have developed some patina, they do little to detract from the overall appearance of the watch and go in concert with the fact that the watch is 45 years old. Although the watch does have some years on it, it certainly doesn't run like a vintage. Having been just serviced, the clean, hackable Rolex 1570 movement is beating accurately with a very strong amplitude of just under 300 degrees. This should provide the next owner with worry free wear for years to come.
