I am selling my Raymond Weil Parsifal Ref #2840. I am the original owner, and this watch was originally purchased in August of 2005. I wore the watch on a regular basis from 2005 to about 2007, then sparingly from 2007 to about 2009. Since then, I have not worn the watch, other than maybe a few times inside the house. Despite not wearing the watch, I have wound it once a month and it's been kept inside a watch case.
The watch head is in very good condition, but there are some scratches on the lug holes. They were not made by me however as I have never changed the strap on this watch, the scratches were present when the watch was originally purchased. The strap is in poor condition and will require a new one. I would rate this very good on the TZ grading scale, and that would be based on the scratches present near the lug holes, and the strap being in poor condition.
The watch is 39mm in diameter. I am not sure of the lug to lug length, but the lugs are pretty short, and so it cant be more than 44 or 45mm
The crystal is Sapphire and it's in perfect condition.
The bezel is solid gold, not gold plated. It shows some tarnish, and so I think it is 14K
There is a blue cabochon in the crown, in perfect condition.
The dial is, I would describe it as a peach color, but I don't recall what the official color is.
The numerals are all applied, and there is a date window. The dial looks very much like a Rolex Datejust, even down to the handset. As far as I can tell, everything on the dial is immaculate.
The watch runs well. I timed it against Time.gov over a 24-hour period, face up, and it gained about 6 seconds. The movement is an ETA, and is exposed with an exhibition caseback
I have the outer box, but not the inner box that holds the watch. I will try to locate it but haven't yet. I have the original stamped warranty card and booklet, but it's far out of warranty
