Up for sale is a rare 1960s Jaeger LeCoultre 18k solid gold "Tank" dating back to the 1960s and featuring a champagne pattern dial, stepped bezel, and sapphaire crown. The indicies and hands are black in the center for legibility against the dial. This watch houses JLC's Caliber 841 movement, which is manual wind and appears in JLC's Reverso Classique. The watch very closely matches the proportions of the modern large Tank Must, measuring in at 25mm x 32mm. The lug width is 19mm. I have included a photo of a large Tank Must alongside this JLC for comparison. This is intended as a man's wristwatch, but certainly it can be worn by anyone. In terms of conidition, the gold case is in very good shape and without any damage. The champagne dial has a few spots around the edges, but I suspect a skilled watchmaker may be able to successfully clean and remove them. The movement on this watch is running at +/- 25 spd and a 210 degree amplitude. This is suitable for daily wear but it would benefit from a service in the future. The simple movement without any complications should make this watch easily serviceable. This is considered in the pricing below.
