[WTS] CITIZEN Electronic Cosmotron - 4- 790569 // Dark Blue Gradient dial //- 179 Usd ! This is, simply put, one of the coolest watches you've probably never heard of. Before the quartz era, watchmakers were playing with all sorts of movement designs to achieve greater accuracy. Some went the tuning fork route, like the famous Bulova Accutron. Citizen went its own way, using a battery-driven motor to power a conventional balance wheel running at 36,000 BPH. The result is an accurate, interesting watch that combines the interesting mechanical aspects of a regular watch with greater convenience and more accuracy. There were several versions of this movement, and this is the later 7804 launched towards the end of the Cosmotron line in 1972. These were the most expensive watches in the Citizen line until the quartz watches arrived, and the build quality is evident. has one of the coolest, and strangest, day/date quickset functions you'll ever see. Hold the watch upright (12 oclock facing up) and push in the crown like a button to set the date. Flip the watch 180 degrees (12 o'clock pointing down) and push and it'll change the day. The day wheel is in English and Kanji. The quickset works great on this watch, and frankly, I wish some of my automatics had this party trick. There are no known functional issues. The watch is keeping time within a few seconds a day. The watch shows nearly no cosmetic wear. It could use a new crystal to show off the be The watch presents wel overall and was obviously taken care of. 🎏Features × Analog display × Day/date 📅 (Japanese + Eng ) × Prismic Dial - 7804 series with 36,000bph movement - Date quickset by pushing the crown - Day changes by rotating 24 hours 📐Measurements - Stainless steel caseback and case - Lug width: 18mm - Case size: 37mm ♻️ Recently serviced and checked for functionality by professional watchmakers.
