Up for sale is my JLC Master Control Ref. 140.8.89. This is a timeless piece with an automatic movement, famously tested 1000 hours by JLC quality control prior to the initial sale. The watch sports a silver sunburst dial, polished dagger indicies, a date function, and Arabic numerous at 6, 9, and 12. It has dauphin hour and minute hands, and a blues steel second hand. All of this is executed with JLC's high quality finishing. The case measures in at a 37mm diameter, with a 9.5mm thickness and 19mm wide lugs. The lume plots have developed a nice patina, and I believe they are tritium. The watch comes naked, with a non-JLC strap and a JLC deployant buckle. The watch has a 4xxx serial engraved on the 18k gold medallion on the caseback. I estimate that the watch was produced in the late 1990s or early 2000s. This is a used watch, and it was been worn and loved. It has hairlines on the case and a small mark on the lower right lug that any competent watchmaker should be able to address. I do not know the service history of this watch. From my observation it appears to be running around +14 spd. Though this watch might benefit from a day the watch spa, it is nevertheless in fine condition and a great entry into the world of JLC.
