FS: IWC Big Pilot 5002-01 in excellent condition. The IWC Big Pilot (Grosse Fliegeruhr) 5002-01 was the first series of the IWC Big Pilot, introduced in 2002. This iconic watch comes with IWC boxes, original booklets / warranty card from 2003, and recent service documentation.
Condition: The actual watch is in excellent condition, free of scratches, dings, etc. The only flaw with the set is the interior material of the wood box has suffered disintegration of the lining material, unfortunately, typical of many watch companies of this era.
Date of Service: Completed in December 2023, the watch received a complete service, replacement of crown and a sympathetic polishing. The service docs will accompany the watch.
Movement: Original mechanical automatic self-winding IWC caliber 5011 with hacking seconds for precision time setting.
Case: Stainless steel 46mm diameter solid two-body case with 16mm thickness.
Water resistant: 60 meters / 200 feet.
Dial: Black with luminous Arabic numeral hour markers and baton indices around a perimeter minute / second scale.
Hands: Luminous steel IWC "Spitfire" hands with needle center sweep seconds hand.
Caseback: Solid back secured with 8 screws and engraved with "IWC - DIE GROSSE FLIEGERUHR."
Crown: Screw-down winding crown recently replaced by IWC during service.
Crystal: Domed scratch resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating.
Power reserve: 168-hour / 7 days power reserve with indicator at the three o'clock position.
Bracelet/Strap: IWC dark brown leather strap with a stainless steel deployant buckle.
Price: $8,750.00 USD wired, including insured FedEx overnight shipping. International shipping will be a few extra days. I am a private collector and have many watch references.
