From a design standpoint, is the 1999 Rolex Submariner the cleanest Sub Rolex ever released? Let’s see: no date? Check. Two liner? Check. Swiss only dial? CHECK. I believe it is! And this is an absolutely incredible example with a beautiful, seemingly unpolished case down to the original case back sticker!

DATE: 1999

DIAL: Hard to add much that hasn’t been written about and drooled over for decades! It’s a classic for a reason… well, many reasons! From the 2 line black dial to that Mercedes hour hand… and here seen with the simple “Swiss” marking under 6. All original, and the luminova still lights up beautifully. Incredibly clean including the bezel - love it!



CASE: Crisp and clean 40mm case with great original lines, nice brushing on the thick lugs, with those beautiful chamfers and the original case back sticker! Light wear mostly seen on the polished sides and a bit on the lugs, but all in one of the cleanest examples I’ve seen.




CRYSTAL: Sapphire crystal in great shape showing off that stunning dial perfectly.

MOVEMENT: Under the hood is equally iconic Rolex cal 3000 automatic movement. Service history is unknown, but I believe it was resent based on the incredible timegrapher numbers, ZERO seconds per day with an amplitude of 314!

BRACELET: Comes on it’s original date code stamped 93150 Rolex oyster bracelet with original 501B endlinks. 12 links total, so will fit up to just shy of 8 inches. Also has light wear throughout, but also super clean!
