Up for sale is a very cool watch--a very vintage chronograph featuring a "true" gilt dial. "True" gilt dials are not made any more (side note: if you are aware of any modern brands making them, please let me know because I want to buy one). Generally, the process involves taking a gold or brass dial, printing the indicies and dial features in a clear lacquer, and then electroplating the black negative space over top. The visual effect of a gilt dial is subtle but also warm and beautiful. Among other things, the beauty of these dials is a large reason true gilt dials from well established brands like Rolex are highly collectible and sought after. This watch has a true gilt dial in very good shape. The watch is retailed by a brand called "Le Phare." The dial has a subtle glow to it on the wrist, and captures light in different ways depending on the angle. Inside the watch features a freshly serviced Landeron 48 movement. The movement is manual wind and currently running properly. The case measures in at approximately 36mm and is in line with classic vintage proportions. I think it wears fantastic. The case is made of chrome and has some slight tarnishing due to age, but I think it is a nice complement to the vintage aesthetic of the watch.
