The watch is in fair condition, maintaining its original charm and elegance, a perfect addition for collectors. Condition: As stated, the watch is in fair condition. There is obvious wear and tear from the decades of use that it has clearly seen. There is a chip in the crystal close to 3 o’clock, and a dent on the center of the clasp. The dial has some signs of patina as well. See pictures. Mechanically, the watch is running slightly fast, but with a decent power reserve. The date function is working flawlessly. The crown appears to be a replacement, and I believe is slipping from the stem. This is causing the time to not be able to be set in the clockwise direction. Please note that you can still set the time in the counterclockwise direction. A service will be required to get this watch to its full glory. Please note that I have not opened the watch to view the movement. Watch is sold as-is. My watchmaker quoted me at $350 for the service plus a new crown. But he told me that he’s at least 5 weeks out, so I have decided to sell the watch as-is instead. Price is reflective of the service costs.
