Filling a 35 year gap in Patek Philippe history, the 5110 was introduced in 2000 as the first World Time wristwatch since the reference 2523 was discontinued in 1965. Truly a Goldilocks offering by today’s standards with a presence and size that feels very modern but wears substantially better and more proportional than current production’s bloated offerings. This particular example is very clean throughout and offered as a full set. **Case:** The 37 mm x 45.7 mm x 9.7 mm thick case really straddles a nice balance between wearability and modern proportions. Those that feel 37 mm is small would be challenged by the prominent dial, sporty crown guards, and long, calatrava-esque lugs, that also downturn nicely for those wanting a Patek World Timer at not-astronomic vintage prices. The case is very clean throughout, believed to be unpolished, with all hallmarks crisp and well defined. **Dial:** The 24 time zone dial is highlighted by a guilloche center dial, metallic day/night 24 hour scale, and the 24 cities clearly and easily legible around the perimeter. The rose gold applied indices and hands provide a nice warmth and richness to the dial. **Movement:** The caliber 240 HU microtor movement is still used today and features the coveted Geneva Seal. The watch is running exceptionally well at approximately +5 s/d, and the time zone pusher is advancing crisply. **Includes:** Outer box, inner wooden box, leather document folder, booklets, certificate of origin dated December 2003 and even a Patek travel pouch. The original signed strap is in very good condition with years of life ahead and crisp pin holes, and the signed rose gold deployant is also sharp, well defined, and free of any major scratches. **Price:** $34.950 including insured shipping within the continental US, international shipping available at cost based on location. Payment by wire or ACH, no trades please. I have numerous references here, the forums, eBay, and Instagram (@)meticulist. When the preceding reference 2523 World Time is going for 100x the ask on this beautiful neo-vintage gem, it’s hard to think of a better *value* for today and the future, particularly given this Geneva Seal movement that’s still being used as a base in a much larger case and finished to a lower standard today. The watch elegantly sits in a size that will appeal to almost anyone, has a beautiful guilloche dial, all brought together through the magical warmth of rose gold… and a full set of course.
