For Sale $1400.00 The OG Seiko Alpinist. This watch was originally made in 1959 as the Laurel Alpinist and was a favorite of many daring mountaineers. Seiko reissued the watch with the excellent 6L35 movement, not to be confused with the 6R series of the mid tier prospex and presage lines. I purchased this as an addition to my all Seiko collection and have truly enjoyed the watch and its dial, however I never really wear it much as it doesn’t quite fit my look. As much i wish I could rock a Cartier tank, a JLC reverse or this Seiko here, my current lifestyle and character don’t match. This watch is in near perfect condition. I cannot find any wear or scuffs, scratches, dents etc…but as it is worn, I will not say it’s perfect. The watch keeps absolutely excellent time and the leather bund strap has only been tried on but not worn out. The 36.5mm diameter works really well with the large dial and really gives this smaller watch some presence. This will accompany any watch collector or Seiko fans watch box well.
