This beautiful example’s from 1984, so who turned 40 last year and forgot to celebrate?! REF: 74000 DATE: 1984 DIAL: Classic silver sunburst dial with gold hardware! Nicely aged tritium lume matches between the dial and the hands, and all lights up evenly under UV, with some wear on the hands. Vintage plexi crystal has light wear, as expected, but nothing that detracts from the gorgeous dial. CASE: 34MM stainless steel case (calipers put it at 34.5MM, fits just shy of a 36MM Datejust.) Nice thick lugs and sharp lines with light wear throughout, mostly seen on the sides and the smooth bezel, but all in a great example. MOVEMENT: Automatic with quickset date is running beautifully! Service history is unknown but timegrapher numbers looking good at 11 seconds a day with an very healthy amplitude of 288. BRACELET: Original transitional Rolex signed oyster bracelet with Tudor signed clasp. Also has light wear throughout but also looks great.
