At a time when date complications were still uncommon, the bold “CALENDAR” inscription at 6 o’clock stood out as a mark of innovation. This particular example, Reference 14393, features its original dial with the iconic crosshair design and dauphine hands, both beautifully aged with character. The stainless steel case measures 43mm by 34mm with a thickness of 11mm (excluding crown) and retains sharp edges and volume, showing only natural wear consistent with its age. Inside beats Omega’s highly regarded Caliber 561 automatic movement, a hallmark of reliability and precision from the golden era of Swiss watchmaking. The watch is fitted with the original Omega 5 Links 1036 bracelet that’s in good condition for its age which fits up to 18.5cm (7.2 inches wrist). Though pre-owned and vintage, this Constellation is well-preserved, with the case, dial, and movement in great condition for its age. As with many vintage pieces, it is not waterproof. The watch has been serviced and is keeping great time at +/-5s a day (as shown in the photo slide).
