Up for sale is a 1970s Audemars Piguet cushion case in 18k yellow gold. The watch is in beautiful condition, featuring a yellow dial and black markers. Many of these watches have dial degradation--this one has a very clean light tapestry dial without any significant marks. The 18k yellow gold case is similarly in very good shape. It has some very minor signs of wear, but no significant marks or damage whatsoever. The watch features a manual wind, Caliber 2001 Audemars Piguet movement. The movement is currently running excellently at -8.5 seconds per day. The case is on the verge of "ultra thin," measuring in at approximately 5.5mm in terms of thickness. The dial is 34mm x 32mm. This wears with classic dress watch proportions. I love vintage APs because they are very often unique or close to unique pieces. Add in the fact that they are precious metal and use some of the thinnest movements of the time (and still almost of today), and I think you have a recipe for magic.
