Good day all. Up for sale is a 1958 Seamaster reference 2990-1 in really beautiful condition. Most of you know that this watch is commonly called a "Seachero" because it uses a Seamaster dial and the same 2990 case and caliber 267 from the Ranchero. I love this watch and will regret letting it go, but I already have a Ranchero and the Seachero is not being used enough for me to keep it. So this one goes on the block.

What makes this watch special is its beautiful original dial. Given that this watch is 67 years old, take a look at the and the dial. It's perfect. When this watch catches the sunlight, it really is a thing of beauty. With its handsome thick lugged steel case, gold Dauphine hands, pencil markers, and radium lume, it's just a very attractive watch for everyday wear. The watch can also use a suit using a BoR bracelet or a more formal strap.

Condition

Dial, Bezel & Hands: The dial and bezel are very close to perfect with no flaws that I can see. The faceted gold Dauphine hands are also original. The gold pencil markers are beautiful and reflect light in a way that just has to be seen to be fully appreciated.

Case: Original stainless steel case with a diameter of 36mm, a lug to lug measurement of 44mm and a lug width of 18mm. The overall condition of the case is in excellent. I don't believe that it has been polished, but if it waa done it was done with a good hand. There are no glaring flaws that I can see. The case back has a few light scratches and there are two initial marked from the case back.

Crown: New with correct Omega crown.

Crystal: New with correct Omega and logo.

Movement: Omega automatic caliber 267 with 17 jewels. The movement is clean and in excellent condition and was recently completely serviced from my watchmaker about two years ago. The watch is running smoothly with strong amplitude, no beat error, excellent power reserve and is keeping very good time at +3 to +6 SPD depending upon position. The watch winds up very smoothly and both the crown action and hand setting is very precise.

Accessories

The watch will include a generic box and will also include the paperwork from the most recent service.
