Greetings r/WatchExchange! For sale is my Bell & Ross BR V2-94-SST Bellytanker Chronograph. A limited edition piece, this is #218 of #500. Originating in the forties and fifties, the term "Bellytank" initially referred to the emergency drop tank fitted in the belly of fighter planes. "Bellytanker" is now mainly used for the high-speed race cars manufactured directly from these spare tanks. Inspired by the bellytanker racers of post-WW2 era, Bell and Ross created the V2-94 Bellytanker watch. Its stunning gilt metallic copper dial and black minute track is reminiscent of the copper finish on the race car rim’s and the black detailing on the car’s nose. These striking details give the timepiece a vintage feel while the black chronograph dials give a contemporary contrast.The dial is decorated with sleek steel hands and indices, the hands coated with Super-LumiNova while the date feature between 4 and 5 o clock. The counterweight on the chronograph hand is a subtle fighter jet motif. The case wears slimly and the styling of the case, bezel, crown and pushers are evocative of El Primero Daytonas. The stainless steel bracelet fits comfortably and the folding clasp locks securely. Limited edition of 500 pieces. Movement: calibre BR-CAL.301. Automatic mechanical (ETA 2824 base with a chronograph module) Functions: Hours, minutes, small seconds at 3 o'clock. Date between 4 and 5 o’clock. Chronograph: 30-min timer at 9 o'clock, central chronograph seconds. Case: 41mm x 14mm. Satin-polished steel. Steel bezel with tachymeter scale. Screw-down crown and push-buttons. Sapphire case-back. Dial: Gilt metallic copper. Metal applique numerals and indices. Metal skeletonised Super-LumiNova®-filled hour and minute hands. Black minute track. Black subdials at 3 and 9. Crystal: ultra-curved sapphire with anti-reflective coating. Water resistance : 100 metres. Bracelet: Satin-polished steel. Folding Buckle in Satin-polished steel. Fitted with all links, fits a 7” wrist. Condition: Very good condition with minor scuffs from typical wearing. No Service History because I bought the watch about two months ago brand new at an AD.
