Up for sale today is a 1960 Omega 14700-1SC Please disregard past sale as watch maker confirmed proper information and who deals with vintage omega. I was sold this watch under false pretenses and me being an idiot and not asking the correct questions back in 2020(I was new and stupid to the watch game) This watch is from 1960 and houses a 550 caliber movement that is automatic movement. The watch at some point in its life experience some water leakage that only affected the rotor( thank god). Pictures are as shown. The watch maker told me the rest of the movement is free from any damage. The watch is also keeping time. The rotor appears to have incurred this damage quite a while ago and has not progressed and his guess is they tried to clean it up as best as they could when it was serviced 3 years ago. Now a new rotor would cost around 40-50 dollars in order to be replaced. He also provided me an estimate of what this watch is worth in its current condition and what other watches without the damage fetch In current condition he estimates that it’s worth $600-650. Other models in its class can fetch around $850-$950. My price is reflective of the damage and also a discount for the recourse I caused to anyone. As always, I have the right to choose the buyer.
