This is Smiths PRS-29A--the first version in 36mm--which is probably the most faithful reproduction of the original G10/W10 watch issued to troops. The spring bars, font, hands, and acrylic crystal were all changed in the newer version and I believe they suffered for it.   Eddie, owner of Smiths, originally had these made by German case maker Roland Kemmner, before moving all of his new production to Hong Kong. Kemmner still makes his own watches, which can sometimes be found on eBay (I don't know of another way to buy them). It seems this version was Eddie's attempt at a faithful reproduction of the original G10/W10, as he specified identical hands, acrylic crystal, correct font, and fixed spring bars. When he updated the design in 2019 he went with standard spring bars, more generic hands, and slightly different font, and sapphire crystal. Both watches are great, no doubt, but if you want a faithful reproduction of the W10/G10, this is the one. It even comes with a period-correct VB Hygienique strap!   You also get an ETA-2804, which is in place of the 2801 Eddie used for the entire run, as the year this particular watch was made he could not source the 2801. It's been serviced, and is running very well. The dial is a matte black, with perfectly contrasting bright white numerals and what appears to be C3 lume on the indexes along the railroad track. It's super legible and very charming!   More reading on the differences here: https://www.watchuseek.com/threads/timefactors-have-updated-the-prs29-their-version-of-the-smiths-w10.4875975/ https://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.php?459002-Old-PRS-29-vs-New-PRS-29 VB Hygienique Strap info: https://af0210strap.com/the-vb-hygienique-strap-now-modrenised/   I really like this watch. It's a catch and release for me, though, as the hands are starting to oxidize and I cannot decide on what route to go--I'm very tempted to put a set of mercedes hands or something else that doesn't belong in here and figured the watch belongs with someone that will keep it in the original form. **I'm asking $580 shipped, no trades.** Video, images, timestamp: https://imgur.com/a/SMBkQM9
