It really doesn’t get more classic than a vintage Cartier tank. Just historic, understated elegance on your wrist! (It worked, or famously DIDN’T work Andy Warhol…) This is a beautiful example, the classic lemon Roman dial, grab and go quartz, found complete with period correct Cartier box and perioid correct Cartier buckle! Especially if you’re looking to gift a tank to a loved one, (or yourself) this is the one! YEAR: App late 70s - mid 80s DIAL: Again, as classic and classy as you get, beautiful Roman numerals, that yellow/gold dial, the blued hands that pop! Very clean example, a few light scratches to the crystal, only seen at certain angles under certain light, as to be expected. CASE: This is the vintage men’s version, measuring in at 23.5MM x 30.5MM. A small and classy watch, equally suitable as a midsize or unisex swatch. Pictured on my 6.6 inch wrist, it wears beautifully. The Vermeil case, a Cartier staple of gold over sterling silver, has wear throughout, as to be expected given the age, mostly seen under a loupe/macro lens on the crown side. Light gold patina forming, which is always great to find on an untouched piece. This has none of the plating loss usually found on this, one of the nicest I’ve seen! And of course that sweet crown with its blue cabochon! MOVEMENT: Grab and go quartz, so as expected doesn’t appear to have missed a beat on my wrist. STRAP: Comes on a black leather strap, with what I believe to be its original Cartier buckle. The strap has light wear but looks great - appears to be period correct as well, style matches too, although not marked Cartier, so possibly a replacement. ACCESSORIES: Watch with Cartier buckle, and what I believe to be the original Cartier box, box is in fantastic condition outside, inside it shows the common staining.
