A lovely early IWC 648A, released soon before the original Ingenieur watch and sharing some similar design elements (save for the thickness and anti-magnetic internals of the Ingenieur). The watch has a fantastically patinated dial which is a sun-ray champagne color, dauphine hands, and a large (for the era) and very wearable case, at 36.5mm. The movement is the well-regarded cal. 853. The watch comes with a Delugs 18mm tan crazy horse leather strap.Notes: The dial has patina-ed and has some mild and even bubbling across the dial as can hopefully be seen in the photos. It doesn’t detract from the watch at all, but it needs to be noted. The minute hand also has some light staining as I’ve tried to show.
