FS: 1980's Ebel Perpetual Calendar 'El Primero' Chronograph 8136901
Description: A rarely seen model, quoted by Ebel brochures to have been ‘on request’ only, is this gorgeous Perpetual Calendar Chronograph powered by the El Primero caliber + perpetual module.
The watch case is in overall good condition showing wear consistent with age, rosey patina developing and the hallmarks/engravings deep, (chose not to polish the case). Case size is circa 40mm, depending where you measure on the interestingly shaped outline. My wrist is just over 16,5cm and I wouldn’t recommend a buyer with a smaller wrist, anything above that measurement you’ll be fine!
The dial is in very good condition, some light ageing can be seen under loupe but with the eye only just a light dot in the 12 o clock sub-dial to note. The handset shows minor ageing but again really only visible under loupe.
The Watch is fitted to its original deployant that has developed a rosey hue and the strap is a ‘new old stock’ lapis shark skin from Ebel. They were famously sold on this material across many of the models at the time. The strap is attached via screws on the underside, customs straps are possible.
Personal opinion - crazy amount of value for the complication and with a unique look. If you like things complicated this is a tough one to beat at the price point.
Price: 11,650GBP inc fully insured worldwide shipping. Watch located in London, UK.
Payment method: Bank transfer only.
Returns: Returns accepted if not genuine.
