Timestamp in linked photos above. Hey all, today I have up for sale or trade a piece from my personal collection. This has been my favorite watch for the past few months, but my camera died and I want a new one, so I have to shift funds from one hobby to another. /: This watch is interesting - it is entirely a Heuer Autavia: the case has a Heuer serial number and case reference number, inside is a Heuer calibre 15, and the caseback was even engraved with “Heuer & Leonidas” before bulova scratched through it. Bulova bought these watches completed from Heuer and then put their own dials on them and sold them domestically in the US. why did they do it? Who knows. But it created a very fascinating watch with a fun history. This particular watch is in amazing condition. The case and bracelet are in unpolished factory condition, with incredibly minimal wear present. Case chamfers are still crisp, and the polished surfaces still retain their shine. The bracelet fits up to a 7.25” wrist. This watch keeps great time too, running slightly fast but I usually wouldn’t have to adjust the time on it more than once every week or two, depending how accurate I wanted it to be. I am asking $5000 OBO, and I am also extremely interested in trades, specifically trades down plus cash on *your* end so I can put some cash towards a new camera. 😅 Vintage watches are my weakness but I enjoy modern watches too. I would LOVE to trade this for a vintage speedmaster if possible. Feel free to message or chat me with any questions!
