Up for sales today is a 'Jumbo' Connie from 1963.

Thanks to this great community and its people, we have some amazing article and threads about the reference:

Conditions of the watch for sale:

- Dial: Original dial, with vertical brush. The dial has signs of aging as shown in picture, scripts and markers are still well visible, with onyx inserted markers. I would say the overall condition of the dial is about average. With correct set of dauphin hands in good condition
- Case: Very sharp case,, facets are still visble. The gold Observatoy logo on the back is in good condition.
- Movement: Omega Cal. 561, Serial in 20 mils range, date the watch to aprox 1963. Watch is running and winding feel smoothly. Have not been service and untested for accuracy.
- Crown: Original and correct decagon crown, a bit tricky to wind but goes nicely with Connies. The crown has rusted spots.
- Plexie: Original with sign.
- Afteremarket straps and buckle
Priced at $1,480 OBO (or same amount in EUR, GBP...), which include:
- 3-5 days shipping worldwide with DHL.
- 100% value insurance with secursus

Founded at La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland in 1848 by 23-year-old Louis Brandt who assembled key-wound precision pocket watches from parts supplied by local craftsmen. He travelled throughout Europe selling his watches from Italy to Scandinavia by way of England, his chief market. After Louis Brandt's death in 1879, his two sons Louis-Paul and Cesar, troubled by irregular deliveries of questionable quality, abandoned the unsatisfactory assembly workshop system in favour of in-house manufacturing and total production control. Due to the greater supply of manpower, communications and energy in Bienne, the enterprise moved into a small factory in January 1880, then bought the entire building in December. Two years later the company moved into a converted spinning-factory in the Gurzelen district of Bienne, where headquarters are still situated today. Their first series-produced calibres, Labrador and Gurzelen, as well as, the famous Omega calibre of 1894, would ensure the brand's marketing success.
