[Timestamp](https://imgur.com/a/UxNwC81) [Album](https://imgur.com/a/4HRVeN0) PRICE: $1650 shipped, CONUS. ​ For sale (no trades) is an iconic Seiko 6105, also known as the original “Captain Willard” made famous from its feature in the movie: Apocalypse Now.This watch is mostly original but features two new parts (new crystal, new strap).I just received this watch back from service, where in addition to cleaning/servicing the movement, I had the crystal replaced with a sapphire piece. The original Hardlex was beyond saving, and his sapphire is true to the shape of the original, including the bevel. This crystal also features clear AR coating. Gaskets were also checked and serviced, however the watchmaker recommended not submerging this watch due to the crown. It’s a screw back crown, not screw down crown. He was unable to source an OEM replacement gasket and does not recommend an aftermarket “eBay” one. The watch was also fitted with a new, period-correct style Strapcode, “Chaffle Black FKM Rubber watch strap” (19mm). No box or papers included. Specs: * S/N Dated to June 1976, US market * 44mm, asymmetrical cushioned case * 6105B hacking movement * turn/lock crown mechanism * Unidirectional, rotating bezel Condition: * Running well, although I do not have an accuracy report * Case: overall good for age, few scratches but no major dings * Bezel and Bezel insert: good condition, minor scratches on both - rotates with solid 60 clicks - alignment slightly off * Dial: ExcellentHands: fair, no corrosion, but fade of the red dot on the seconds hand, scratches present. * Lume: Tritium, slight patina but works. Doesn’t hold a “charge” for long like modern lume.
