Lots of love for the dark gray dial Rolex! Usually seen on the 1601 or 1603 Datejust but lesser seen on the 1500 Oyster Perpetual Date found here. Often when these age they can take on lavender hues, this one really stands out as in the right light it’s gray meets steely blue - that combined with the sweet pumpkin colored tritium lume is just plain AWESOME! REFERENCE: 1500 SERIAL NUMBER: 4,144,XXX YEAR: 1976 DIAL: Such a stealth look, that ghost effect when the light hits, steel on steel, fantastic combo! And you can see even under macro how beautiful this dial is with gorgeously aged tritium lume, little bit of patina here and there, including on the hands, but all in incredibly clean! CRYSTAL: Plexi crystal has wear seen at certain angles, but also presents beautifully. CASE: Nice 34.5mm stainless steel case with smooth stainless bezel. The oyster case wears larger than its numbers (pictured on my 6.6 inch wrist, wears just shy of a Datejust) Lugs are thick and even with great brushing on top. Does have expected wear throughout, mostly seen on the bezel and polished sides, but all in looks great! MOVEMENT: The Rolex automatic was just FULLY SERVICED by my independent watchmaker, will come with receipt and on year warranty! STRAP: Comes on a brown new dark brown leather strap - the tanning matches the dial lume, fantastic combo! ACCESSORIES: Watch on strap with service papers.
