Hey guys, I’m continuing the tradition of an annual r/watchexchange post to thin the herd. Up for sale today is my 2023 Rolex Submariner 124060. My wife and I share a six watch box which is currently at capacity. For better or worse this means that when a newcomer arrives I need to free up room for it. In this case I happened to get an unexpected offer - a black-and-grey GMT Master II - that I couldn’t pass up which means it’s time for the Submariner to move on to a new home. Like I mention below I doubt there’s anyone coming into this without some firmly held beliefs about the brand and model but if you do have any questions please let me know. INTRODUCTION Growing up my Grandpa wore a 5513 that he bought off a colleague decades earlier who needed money for motorcycle parts. Grandpa got (and continues to get) a tremendous amount of milage out of that watch - wearing it on the job, on vacation, and everywhere between. That versatility is what attracts people to Rolex broadly and the Submariner specifically. The modern 124060 continues that tradition with a bomb-proof construction, comfortably svelte case, and conservative design. The warranty card is dated to November, 2023 so there’s just north of 4 years remaining. In case you’re unaware, the new warranty cards only have a date written by the AD at the time of purchase, no name or location anymore, which means that this watch will feel yours in a way older models with the previous green-and-gold card acquired down the road really can’t. CONDITION The watch is in great shape, it is completely UNPOLISHED. I’m extremely particular about factory finishing which means when I buy watches grey I get them in NOS stickered condition only to ensure it has never seen a polishing wheel. In this case the watch has some light scratches, particularly on the clasp, from daily wear. I’ve included pictures to help you judge condition for yourself. I can absolutely provide more or with different lighting for your reference, just ask. KIT This is a collector grade kit including the white cardboard sleeve (my AD doesn’t even give this to me), creme cardboard box, green Rolex wavy box, hangtag, warranty card and wallet, booklet, and bezel protector, as well as all factory links. Note this is sized for my 7.5” wrist. COMPS The floor on Chrono 24 seems to be $11.5k, I’m seeing $10k (payable to someone with no transaction history in ETH…) to $12k on r/watchexchange. The watch was purchased NOS from David SW in February, 2024 for $15,575. Yeah, I know. TERMS I’m asking $11,000 firm. Payment via wire.
