For sale a beautiful and rare private label Blancpain Bathyscaphe. Your chance to own an original Blancpain design for 1/4th of the price. **History** : In 1956, Blancpain introduced the Bathyscaphe, a sport version of the Fifty Fathoms meant to be equally at home under a shirt cuff as over a dive suit. Manual models were Ref. MC4, while the automatic date version was Ref. PGA5, both sharing the same case (designed by Squale). In the early 1960s, Blancpain released the larger 37mm Bathyscaphe Ref. 1121. Those skin divers were also sold under different brands like Moeris, Waltham, US Divers, ... and little known : Royce (Eska’s sport brand). Those brands had a partnership in which Blancpain-Rayville would make entirely the watch for them. This private label Royce features a grey sunburst dial, hands, case, caseback, crown, and bezel all identical to the Waltham Centennial Bathyscaphe also made by Blancpain (which costs 2x more, still a bargain compared to the original Blancpain). **• Condition** : case and back are in good vintage condition with minor age related marks. The acrylic insert bezel is in good condition, with a small crack between 27 and 28. There is also a light scratch at 30 mark. Original steel 5mm diver’s crown. New dome crystal **• Dial** :  Gun metal sun burst dial in very good condition with some minor patina marks. The dial has original tritium lume filled Blancpain signature steel batons. **• Movement** : AS 1903 (R337) 17 jewel automatic with semi-quickset date, just serviced • Sold with a period correct **Tropic Star** strap • Rated **100m**.
