Offering for sale my Seamaster 120 automatic, ref 166.027. This is pretty much the best SM120 I’ve seen and certainly the best I’ve owned.
Only selling as I have two of these and can’t justify keeping both. Out of the two, this is just about the better one. It has an unpolished case with original finish, a deep, matte black dial and bezel and has just been serviced. I’ve only decided to part with this one as the other has a slightly faded dial and bezel and I just love that look.

Dial:
Factory original dial, not restored, refinished or repainted. The dial is a deep, matte black in excellent condition without any damage or ageing marks and looks wonderful. The original tritium lume has aged to a lovely yellow tone.
The lume on one of the hands has cracked but this was stabilised by Simon during service to keep it all original.
The example has the much more uncommon black date disk, with most SM120’s having the white date.

Bezel:
Original and correct bezel in a matte black. Very good condition with a feint scratch around 50.

Case:
Original stainless steel case ref 166.027 in excellent condition. Unpolished and retains the factory sunburst brushed finished which is almost always missing on these. Some marks on the caseback from previous opening attempts (not me!).
Original crown.

Movement:
Omega cal. 565 automatic movement with quickset date. Fully serviced in March 24 by Simon Freese and with remainder of the warranty.

Bracelet:
Vintage 1098/540. Good condition, full-length (my wrist is 7.5”+ and I have it on the shortest setting), some stretch but perfectly wearable.

History:
I bought this watch from a gent in Germany. He received it brand new as a graduation gift in the early 70’s and wore it on special occasions for around 20 years before it was retired to a draw, where it stayed for the next 20+ years until I bought it.
