Hello, /r/Watchexchange! What is there to say that hasn't already been said about the Rolex Datejust? You've heard that it's the first chronometer automatic watch with a date indicator in 1945. You've heard of the numerous iconic movies this watch has appeared in, like *American Psycho*(2000), *The Color of Money*(1986), and *The Wolf of Wall Street*(2013). What you've never heard is seeing this icon in complete 18K Gold in a beautiful Alpha Hand Set Style. A rare sight to see and brings the luxury that it's brother, the Day-Date, has but in a style that will have other collector's doing double-takes and a thumbs up to be sure. Now, this watch has been restored to original condition and the only difference that can be seen is that the lume plots have been removed and painted over. This is evident due to the dial Marking “T SWISS T” and “T” signifies the use of Tritium luminescence and it appears the lume has fallen off the alpha set minute and hour hands but it should also be present on the dial as well. The case has also been polished and refinished to as original as possible condition and I believe you can truly see this in the pictures. The lugs haven’t been shaven down too much and our watchmaker was able to retain a very nice sharpness between the brushed and polished finishing on the lugs. The Rolex 1565 movement has also been cleaned and serviced in March of 2023 and it is running at COSC. The cherry on top? It also passed our dry pressure tests with flying colors!
