Compass works but can stick a little. I bought this example brand new in its box (NOS). The cases are in great condition, with very little wear. No scratches on the crystal or dials. Both dials turn smoothly. Battery was just replaced. It is a pretty cool and rare watch; I just do not wear it enough now. **The Watch:** Made around 1984, the two watch cases are lightweight titanium, water resistant to 10ATM (330ft), thick cases and crystal for -40C/60C temp, magnetic resistance, etc. Powered by a Seiko Quartz 1421. The watch also was given the nickname “Contra", supposedly they may have been issued by the US to Nicarugaun anti-communist soldiers in the 80's; during some type of covert civil war in the jungle.
