Tudor Oyster Reference 7903 vintage wristwatch circa 1954 Pics/timestamp: https://imgur.com/a/RojhqV9 A stainless steel manually wound center seconds vintage Tudor model, this wristwatch has a robust stainless steel Rolex Oyster case with Rolex mono block screw down crown. 32mm (34.5mm including crown) case. The attractive original dial is present on this watch, with very little wear or patina. Small Rose Tudor logo at 12 o'clock. Dagger shaped hour markers at 12, 3, 6, and 9 and pointed batons at all other hours. Lume is present at all hour markers. Dial swiss signed at 6 o'clock. Minor marks/hazing on the outside of the crystal easily removed with some polywatch (some shadows of these marks appear in the photos). Caliber 1156 Manual wind movement (same as the rare 7923 Tudor Sub). Watch runs about 10 seconds fast per day. Watch winds smoothly, and crown screws down easily on the case threads. Service history unknown but there are some watchmakers marks scribed into the case back. Watch comes on a NOS suede JB Champion strap with stainless buckle. Montres Tudor SA has designed, manufactured and marketed Tudor watches since 6 March 1946. Rolex founder Hans Wildorf conceived of the Tudor Watch Company to create a product for authorized Rolex dealers to sell that offered the reliability and dependability of a Rolex, but at a lower price. The number of Rolex watches was limited by the rate that they could product in-house Rolex movements, thus Tudor watches were originally equipped with off-the-shelf movements while using similar quality cases and bracelets.

Historically, Tudor watches have been manufactured by Montres Tudor SA using movements supplied by ETA SA. Since 2015 however, Tudor has begun to manufacture watches with in-house movements. The first model introduced with a in-house movement was the Tudor North Flag. Following this, updated versions of the Tudor Pelagos and Tudor Heritage Black Bay have also been fitted with an in-house caliber.

Tudor watches are marketed and sold in most countries around the world including the United States, Australia, Canada, India, Mexico, South Africa, many countries in Europe, South Asia, the Middle East and countries in South America, particularly Brazil, Argentina and Venezuela.
