up for grabs today my vintage automatic Longines ref.7171 1 invoiced to Italy in 1963, as confirmed by an extract from the Longines archives that is included in the sale.
I bought this watch locally quite recently, since then very sparingly worn. It is in all original condition.
Reason of sale is raising funds for another purchase.

Unmolested stainless steel case measures 36mm without original crown, a quite unusual size for a dress watch from that era, especially from Longines, and sits beautifully on the wrist due to its twisted lugs. Screw back case retains original inscriptions, just slightly faded over the years. Lug to lug 42mm, lug width 19mm.

Original dial is in very good conditions, with just some slight spots here and there and a warm, uniform creamy patina. All lume dots are there, original hands set.

Automatic in-house venerable cal. 291 with semi quick-set date by changing 21-24h works great. Last service unknown.

Watch comes head only.
