Draws heavily from the original Rolex GMTs that were built for Pan Am, but also the Lorier Hyperion II, and the MKII Key West, among others. Basically, wanted to do something that captured the size and essence of the 1960s original, but ditching the merc hands in favor for something a bit more "seiko-y" The case is a very nicely finished all stainless part, with a fine-tooth coin edge bezel that uses a wire instead of a click spring. Aluminum insert is fully lumed with BGW9 (blue) superluminova, and oyster an style caseback. There's a low box crystal with blue inner AR, and a screw down crown. It's paired with a solid endlink oyster style bracelet, screw-links, and a slim diver's pushbutton clasp. The whole thing is a "just right" 38.5mm wide, with a 47mm L2L and 20mm lugs. It's about 12.5mm thick including the crystal, but more like 11.5mm without. The dial is an aftermarket part with nicely done applied indicies with strong lume and a opaline / silver-y white color. GMT text is in red. The handset is a hybrid: * GMT hand is from TokeiLab. it's red to match the GMT text, with strong C3 lume. * Hour and minute hands are from Dagaz, from the "stingray" series, with their proprietary C1+C3 lume mix. They're polished silver, and will also color shift to near-black based on reflections * Seconds hand is from DLW - it's their mercedes hand. It's also polished silver, with good lume. There's a brand new NH34 automatic "caller" GMT movement inside, from the fine folks at Seiko. The movement has been regulated to \~9s/day. The case is only rated to 100m. I haven't pressure tested this one, but based on the construction, I have no doubt it'll be fine for everyday desk diver type of use. **Condition** Everything's brand new. Protective plastic still in place. Since it's a hand-assembled watch, I can't promise it's "lab coat and negative pressure" perfect, but it'll go toe-to-toe with any comparably priced GMT, I think!
