A very cool and pretty HTF Citizen Vintage "Dolphin" mid size diver. The reason why it's called the dolphin is the very embossed case back with the dolphin logo. These vintage citizen divers come with the 8200 movement, which is very well know for being an extremely robust and reliable movement. It's found on a lot of the vintage citizen divers. It is a handwind, non hackable movement. Also, this specimen as a kanji date wheel. In my experience on wrist, it's running strong but about a minute fast. And even though it is has a power reserve that well exceeds a day in my experience and could use an adjustment to make it more accurate (local watchmaker for $25) , but you have to assume it needs a service at some point(because it is vintage).

The case is unpolished (which is rare). The lines between the brushed and polished transitions are still really sharp. The case is a 30+ year case, so it is not perfect, but being unpolished is a big plus! As you can see, the bezel insert was professionally replaced. I had purchased a SKX013 replacement insert that was used which is basically the same as the original from Citizen. The crystal is fairly clear, but you can tell it had been polished. But it looks descent for its age (see photos).

As you can see, the dial and lume markers are in great shape, as its the handset. I have to assume, this watch has never been compromised with water (which is not uncommon with vintage citizen divers) so I never opened the caseback myself.

The dimensions are: 39mm diameter, Lug to lug 43mm, 13.1mm thick with 19mm lug width. It comes on a 19mm FKM strap. The pictures on my wrist (7.25 inch) so you can see how it wears! Personally, the watch wears a little smaller than I like, but if your wrist is less that 7 inches, it may fit you just right. I know the trend is towards smaller watches, and this size will make a lot of people happy.
