Great guys, each watch is checked out by them and this one is no exception. It’s easily one of my most accurate watches. I do not have a time grapher but compared again my other pieces to my phone it’s spot on. While I love the watch I’m just not as big of a steel sports watch person as I used to be and find my collection leaning more towards smaller dress style pieces. The case and crystal are in excellent condition. The bracelet does have some scratches from daily wear but nothing that won’t polish out easily. Polished, slightly rounded facets on its thick lugs and protective crown guards distinguish the watch from offerings in the larger market. The watch is capable of withstanding proudly displayed like outward scars on a decorated soldier. A deeply toothed, boldened unidirectional diving bezel tops the case, the insert opting for italicized numerals recalling funky beach vibrations. The bezel in particular is important as its thick style is signature to this particular SuperOcean, differing notably from both vintage styles at the collection's launch in the 1950s, iconic turn-of-the-century designs that still exist today in the brand's Chronomat and Avenger collections, and simplified styles popular in today's flagship. Continuing its bold streak, the SuperOcean on its dial opts for a highly legible style via its use of large, italicized Arabic numerals at most hour positions, with complementary lume filled indices at most remaining positions. A small, outlined date window breaks up the style at the 3 o'clock position, adding some day-to-day functionality to the professional wearer, while a curved outer minute ring adds some additional dimensionality and visual intrigue to the diver aesthetic. A Breitling caliber 17 powers the watch's tapered handset and arrow-pointer seconds counter, the automatic mechanism based upon the ETA 2824-2 and sharing its renowned reliability.
