Watch dates to circa 1970. It is unusual for that era due to its generous 42mm case size. It is virtually certain this is the same case used in the highly prized (and much more costly) Zenith Carelli military chronograph. Thus, this Bulova is known as the “Poor Man’s Carelli”. The excellent Valjoux 7731 chronograph movement was recently fully serviced. The watch runs superbly, with all functions smooth and precise. The watch has never been polished, and all beveled edges are as crisp and sharp as when new. The dial is in excellent original condition, as is the uni-directional bezel, which turns and clicks pefectly. The engine turned sub-dials zero precisely. No disappointments with this watch. By far the best one available, given its condition and this price. It will come with two quality alligator “Noble House” straps, one of which is new.
