For sale from my personal collection is this amazing 100% original IWC ref. 1872 from 1974.

This IWC is in good condition, the seventies TV modelcase is unpolished and yes the watch has run into some scratches in its fifty years of existence, but all the sharp angles are still there. The watch still has got its original fish logo crown.
I am not the best photographer , so the watch looks even better in the flesh, every nick and scratch on the photos here is highlighted.

The watch has got a gorgeous silver sunburst dial with some little silver pimples, the indices are amazing, applied and with a dark inlay they look great, the hour and minute hands also have this gorgeous black inlay, this all makes the watch very legible.

Measurements are a diameter of 34.8mm, 40.4mm length, 1.6mm thickness, it wears very comfortably due to its shape. The lug size is 18mm if you decide to buy it you can chose a new Epsom Leather (like Hermès uses) strap in black, blue or orange.

Inside ticks the famous IWC Calibre 8541B Pellaton Automatic movement.
This automatic winding system was developed by the then technical director at IWC, Albert Pellaton. It was patented in 1946 and completed in 1950. The Pellaton winding system uses pawls rather than direct gearing between the rotor and barrel. This helps isolate the gear train from shocks. Unlike the Seiko magic lever system, which uses one pawl to “pull” and another to “push” the barrel, the IWC Pellaton system has both pawls pull on the barrel. This makes winding more efficient.
The watch runs flawlessly, please look at the more then excellent timegrapher results!

Since my collection has gotten too large again it is time to make some choices, so this rare bird may leave.
