Hi WatchExchange, Last on the lot for today is my vintage Seiko 6138-0020 automatic chronograph from October 1971. Album: https://i.imgur.com/4EKk8z2.jpg Additional video for chrono reset: https://imgur.com/a/ZPjhpn6 Time stamp: https://imgur.com/a/QbUcAsT The 6138 came out in 1970, one year after the 6139 made its debut. And it has (to me) a few improvements made in the movement functions compared to the 6139. It has a more traditional (better) day/date quickset mechanism, has 2 subdials instead of 1 and the crown can now be hand wound to provide power to the movement. This example is in overall great condition. This reference model is often referred to as Tokei Zara because of its bowl-like case shape. What makes this particular example slightly more rarer than the other ones is that this watch was configured to be sold in SE Asia / Oceania where most of the Tokei Zara are sold as JDM version. This was evidenced by the fact that this watch has a Roman numeral as second day language and is enquired with a Stelux bracelet. Service history is unknown but it’s been keeping time and all functions on the watch is working as intended. This is also the ONLY non JDM 6138/9 model that features the Seiko 5 Sport Speedtimer logo on the dial. Watch case is in good condition. Crystal is a good quality aftermarket replacement. Lumes on dial and hands are in original condition with great patina (no rotting.) Dial is in pristine condition. Chrono buttons (beautiful pistons style with the “dimple” which is correct for this model) and crown are original and work as intended and are clicking crisply. Lug width is 20mm. Comes with original high quality Stelux solid links (rare for vintage Seiko) bracelet. I would say Stelux bracelets in general are in better quality than what Seiko uses for JDM and other parts of the world. I’m asking $545USD obo shipped anywhere within Canada or CONUS. Payment method is PayPal F&F only. I have sold a few watches on here and can provide reference. The watch and myself are located in Vancouver Canada. Thanks for looking.
