Greetings Everyone,
I am selling my Grand Seiko SBGH201 Hi-Beat. I bought this watch from an AD earlier this year. It has all boxes, papers, and the signed warranty card. It's under warranty until 2027.
The SBGH201 is a classic Grand Seiko whose design is inspired by the original 1968 GS 61 GS case Hi-Beat. It has the following features:
• The case is 40.2 mm in diameter without the crown. The lug-to-lug is 47.6 mm. The thickness is 13mm. The lug width is 20mm. It weighs a very reasonably 151 grams with all links.
• The case is the 61GS case. In my opinion, one advantage of this case style is the very thin bezel, which: (1) puts more attention on the dial; and (2) minimizes the surface area of the bezel when it comes to scratches.
• The dial is matte/light silver (not white).
• The dial hardware and hour markers are thin and faceted, and nicely reflect light.
• The second hand is blued steel.
• The movement is the 9S 85 Hi-Beat, which runs at 36,000 bph. This makes the second hand glide around the dial at 10 beats per second. The movement is tested in 6 positions and has an average daily timekeeping rate of +5/-2 seconds per day. The power reserve is 55 hours. It is magnetic resistant to 4,800 A/m. The watch has a sapphire display back.
• The crystal is sapphire with anti-reflective coating on the inside.
• The bracelet is fully brushed, Oyster style, with a double push button folding clasp. It's currently sized to a 7 ¼" wrist, and I have 1 extra link.
• The watch is water resistant to 100m. The crown is screw down.
• It looks great on the OEM bracelet on mesh and on any number of different color straps. It's a quite versatile GADA watch.
The watch has been worn in 2023 as part of an 8-watch rotation. The condition of the case and bracelet are 95%. The bezel is a conservative 90 95%. The crystal is perfect. The watch functions as it should with no problems. I'm selling because that's what we do here, and I don't wear it as much due to collection overlap with my JLC Master Grand Taille.
My price is $3,200 shipped.

The watches at the top of my list are the 40mm Chronoswiss Kairos (I like the updated art deco look) -- Chronoswiss Delphis (the 12 hour dial disk model) Citizen Chronomaster AQ4030 or AQ4091 (blue Washi dial and titanium case/bracelet) Omega Seamaster 2254 or 2264 (black dial/bezel and sword hands model) Omega Seamaster Titanium Omega Seamaster GMT (black dial) -- 42mm Omega Planet Ocean (blue dial, and preferably titanium) -- Omega Globemaster (blue dial) -- Breitling Aerospace on a bracelet (the older printed dial model not the Aerospace Advantage) -- Nomos Tangente Neomatik 39 (ref. 140 or 141) Nomos Ludwig automatic (40mm model 251) Cuervo Y Sobrinos 1519 (silver dial with the blue internal track) Cuervo Y Sobrinos Asturias (anthracite model) RGM 150 (blue dial) Ebel Sport Classic XL (model 9187151) Breitling Colt Quartz (41mm blue dial on bracelet). Cash can be added as necessary, as not all trades for pieces of interest are going to be straight-up trades of equal value.
